I knew Pepperdine was an amazing place as soon as I stepped on campus. While the stunning ocean view and Zoey 101 references definitely added to its appeal, it is the community that gives Pepperdine its unreal energy. I was fully envisioning my undergraduate years here during my campus tour, but I had no idea that I was going to find a group of women that would have such an incredible impact on my life.
 

Growing up in Atlanta, Georgia, the “Bama rush” Greek life that I was told about never interested me. Alpha Phi at Pepperdine showed me that Greek life isn’t just about dressing up and chanting spirit songs, although that is a VERY important part of it ;). It’s about finding a group of girls that support you and push you to be better everyday. 
 

My experience in Alpha Phi has given me so many things, but most importantly it has given me the opportunity to grow in an environment centered around unconditional love, encouragement, and generosity. As Alpha Phi’s Vice President of Membership Recruitment, I cannot wait to share the blessings that I have received from this chapter with everyone going through the process. It is a fantastic way to make new friends and experiences, while also allowing yourself the opportunity to join a lifelong sisterhood. I encourage you to get involved with the Pepperdine community through recruitment: not only to get to dressed up and hear those funny chants, but to also learn more about yourself and the beautiful group of women that complete Alpha Phi.
